Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 33-year-old man after discovering 300 marijuana plants at a Bothell-area home the morning of Friday, Aug. 15.
Deputies found the plants after going to the house to check on the man, said Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen. The man’s father had told police his son had threatened to commit suicide.
Deputies knocked on the front door but got no answer. Fearing the man was hurt and needed help, deputies entered the house, located in the 19900 block of Bartlett Road.
The man wasn’t there, but came home about 15 minutes later, Jorgensen said. He allegedly had methamphetamine with him and appeared to be under the influence of the drug, she said.
He was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
