Historically, it was one of the favorite stops of the stars on Highway 99 between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C. Today, most celebrities take their tour buses up I-5, but you can still see signs of the stars at the Drift On Inn Roadhouse and Club Hollywood next door.

Club Hollywood features the worlds largest autograph collection, including signatures from stars such as Bob Hope and Will Rogers, who stopped to eat at the Drift On Inn whenever they were in the neighborhood. The Drift On Inn even had the honor of serving lunch to President Harry S. Truman.

The two clubs are owned and operated by Mark Mitchell and his family, who are not only living up to the glamorous 75-year-old past, but also continuing to provide great food, music and entertainment. The Drift On Inn features table games and daily tournaments, and coast-to-coast off-track betting for horse racing enthusiasts. Debbies Roadhouse Cafe serves classic comfort food favorites like chicken fried steak and pot roast. They also serve handmade milkshakes.

Theyre the best milkshakes in the world, Mitchell said. You cant beat milkshakes made with hard ice cream.

Club Hollywood is located just a few steps across the parking lot. In addition to the worlds largest autograph collection, it has movie posters and memorabilia including Marilyn Monroes limousine.

People could literally spend days going through it all, Mitchell said. And theres live music and dancing Wednesday though Saturday to the states top bands.

Club Hollywood also has poker from 7 a.m. daily as well as all other favorite casino games.

Food at the Red Crane restaurant includes Pan Asian and American favorites. Theres an impressive sushi selection as well as fresh salmon and halibut entrees, steaks and sandwiches.

Drift On Inn and Club Hollywood are located on Highway 99 at 16708 Aurora Ave. N. in Shoreline. For more information, call (206) 546-8040.
