The full closure of Dumas Road to all traffic is nearing an end.

City of Mill Creek staff estimates that the road should re-open to traffic by the last week of June, since paving is scheduled to begin Monday, weather permitting.

Currently, work is complete on the new rockeries and concrete retaining walls in the closed section of the roadway, and crews are backfilling and grading for the new roadway surface.

Electrical work continues for the new street lights, as well as installation of the decorative rock facing on the exposed wall sections. New concrete curbs were expected to be poured this past week.

Even though the road is expected to re-open at the end of the month, continuing work will require temporary lane closures.

Because of construction, Dumas Road is closed to all traffic between North Creek Drive and the Park and Ride facility at 132nd Street SE. Detour routes are Bothell-Everett Highway, 16th Avenue SE and 132nd Street SE.

Construction updates are also available at www.cityofmillcreek.com or by calling 425-921-5769.
