Take a break from holiday shopping and spend the afternoon together as a family as Edmonds Center for the Arts presents Avner the Eccentric Nov. 29.

Although he started out in Atlanta, Georgia enjoying snakes and juggling as a child, Avner Eisenberg ended up graduating from the University of Washington with a BA in theater before moving to Paris to perfect his performing techniques.

With his many skills, Avner defies the barriers of language and culture, combining talent and humor into a one-man vaudeville-style performance featuring a little juggling, a little magic and lots of fun.

Avner was inducted into the Clown Hall of Fame in 2002 and is one of the world’s leading teachers of physical comedy. He has worked as a mime and a puppeteer, has starred on Broadway with his one-man show Avner the Eccentric, co-starred in the Lincoln Center’s production of Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors and is probably best known for his portrayal of The Jewel, the endearing holy man in the motion picture “The Jewel of the Nile.”
