Everett company buys Swedish x-ray maker

EVERETT — Fluke Biomedical has bought a Swedish x-ray equipment manufacturer.

The acquisition, which was announced last week, will expand the Everett-based company’s customer base and product line, according to a news release from Fluke Biomedical.

“The acquisition of Unfors RaySafe brings to Fluke Biomedical a strong team that has delivered leading innovation to the radiation test and safety markets,” said Eric Conley, general manager of Fluke Biomedical, in a news release. “The combination of Unfors RaySafe and Fluke Biomedical accelerates our ability to provide a broad portfolio of world class test equipment to our customers.”

Fluke Biomedical is a leading maker of biomedical test and simulation products, including electrical safety testers and patient simulators.

Unfors RaySafe is based in Billdal, Sweden, where it was started in 1994. It has offices in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Singapore, India, Japan and China.
