Facility a gift to our community

The new Dale Turner Family YMCA (opening fall 2008) will provide a lasting gift to all members of our community. For more than 15 years, residents in our community have worked toward this goal, and I can hardly believe it is finally becoming a reality.

Become a part of this effort by honoring a community member or creating a legacy for your family with a commemorative tile to be displayed in the new YMCA. Two sizes are available and can include photos, drawings, or digital images. Limited tiles are available, but only through June 30.

Many of you may know that our local communities have already contributed more than $5 million on a fundraising goal of $5.75 million, which might just make this the largest sum raised in our community to date. Thank you to everyone who have helped us get this far.

Our family decided that making a gift to this wonderful new Y was a way we could give back to the community and make a lasting legacy for our family! We felt it was an opportunity to ensure that families, children, singles and seniors would have a positive place to exercise, create and recreate.

As we make the final push, I ask each of you to consider making a gift to our community. This gift will ensure that more than 10,000 youth, families and individuals of all backgrounds have access to vital programs creating a stronger community for everyone.
