Visit the Edmonds Art Walk this Thursday, Oct. 16 for an evening of local visual arts, live music, demonstrations and tastings with downtown Edmonds merchants.

Live music this month includes A Well Known Stranger jazz ensemble at Running In Motion, Stig and Friends at Dolce La Belle, flutist Jimmy Johnson at Semantics Gallery and Those Guys at Manya Vee Selects.

Demonstrations include pastels at Johnny’s Sports Bar, lavender lemonade at Garden Gear, jewelry design at Semantics Gallery, watercolor at Aria Studio Gallery and Shibori silk at Manya Vee Selects.

Don’t pass up sampling wine and appetizers at Festivities, harvest hot dogs at Edmonds Art Gallery, wine at Arista Wine Cellars and cheese at Resident Cheesemonger.

Get started on your walk at Johnny’s Sports Bar &Grill where Kathleen Moore’s vivid pastel still lifes are on display. At Festivities Fine Gifts, view a multi-artist show featuring small works of art. Raymond James features Meldrich’s oil &watercolor landscapes, cityscapes, and Berg’s fine art photography. The Wishing Stone hosts Jan Walker images of Wales and other locales.

HouseWares hosts Judy Welch’s flowing abstracts. At Interiors of Edmonds, Olympia artist Sherry Buckner shares her new serigraph printmaking. Salon Pena features Debbie Harrington’s vivid photos of a world tour. Semantics Gallery highlights jewelry pieces by Kristina Hilsheimer using the beauty of gem stones. Resident Cheesemonger displays Andrea Huysing’s color photographs.

At Manya Vee Selects, nationally known shibori silk artisan Britt Rynearson demonstrates her technique. Comstock Jewelers exhibits flowing impressionist landscapes and abstracted scenes by Jonlee Nunn. Coldwell Banker Bain features Catch Phrase Photography, Kate Wirth’s gathering of the world in photo and phrase. At Arista Wine Cellars see John Peters’ picturesque vineyard scene color photography. C’est la Vie hosts Karen Drumheller’s Garden Muses, wooden sculptures in bright colors.

Bluefish Designs hosts Matt Ambrey’s color photographs. At Dolce La Belle, view McCoy’s vintage fashion photography, Saldivar’s sterling and gemstone jewelry. J Rankin Jewelers spotlights Kathy Collins’ flowing watercolor paintings full of expression. Countrywide Home Loans features Darlene Lucas’s watercolors. John L. Scott displays Graham Fracha’s oils of architecture, flowers and abstract visions.

The Edmonds Bookshop features award-winning fine jewelry by Linda Naoi Goetz, seen in Beadwork Magazine. Cole Gallery &Artists Supplies hosts Michele Usibelli’s oil paintings inspired by Edmonds and the Northwest. Gallery North’s featured artist, JR Hawse, shows a colorful collection of garden and animal paintings bordering on fantasy. The Edmonds Art Gallery hosts Nelson’s The Witches Little Sister, McLellan’s watercolors, Harrison’s acrylics and Ayers’ photography.

Ombu Salon features the fine abstract oil paintings of Maery Lanahan. Running In Motion/Cynderellies Closet hosts outdoor photography by former sports announcer Rick Scott. At the Edmonds Library, view the winners to the Everybody Reads Photo Contest. In the Frances Anderson Center &EAFF Gallery, visitors can see Sarah Jane Lapp’s paintings.

Stewart Chiropractic hosts “Here and There, Images from Around the World,” Ken Smith’s photography. At Autumn’s Framing &Gallery, see owner Autumn Kegley’s spiritually themed works in oils and totem linocuts. Aria Studio Gallery invites visitors to see Joan’s new oils and Leah’s striking photography. Garden Gear features Elaine &Bill Snell’s beautiful and fun wall sculptures. Olives Café &Wine Bar spotlights Nancy and Allen Young, the abstract art of the chef/owner’s parents.
