Just in time for Halloween, The Driftwood Players “Classic Movies” film series presents the 1986 monster musical comedy “Little Shop of Horrors,” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26.
Based on the 1960 Roger Corman cult film classic and adapted from the award-winning stage hit, the film presents an unusual triangle involving a lower eastside Manhattan flower shop employee named Seymour (Rick Moranis), his naive co-worker Audrey (Ellen Greene), and a mysterious plant nicknamed Audrey II — whose growth rate is surpassed only by its peculiar appetite. The film also features Steve Martin, James Belushi, John Candy and Bill Murray. “Little Shop of Horrors” is rated PG-13.
The film screens at the Wade James Theatre, located at 950 Main St. in Edmonds. Tickets are $5 general per film, available by calling 425-774-9600 or at www.driftwoodplayers.com.
