Snohomish County Fire District 7 responded to 130 calls the week of July 31 to Aug. 6. The district serves the city of Mill Creek and the neighborhoods of Cathcart, Clearview, Thrashers Corner, Maltby, Gold Creek and North Creek.
July 31
Crews responded to 26 calls, including 14 medical aid, four smoke/odor investigations, four mutual aid, one fire, one motor vehicle collision, one automatic fire alarm and one service call.
Aug. 1
Crews responded to 14 calls, including nine medical aid, two fires, one motor vehicle collision, one rescue and one mutual aid.
Aug. 2
Crews responded to 19 calls, including 14 medical aid, two fires and two automatic fire alarms.
At 2:12 p.m. firefighters responded to a dumpster fire in the 15600 block of Main Street. Firefighters extinguished the fire which was caused by cigarettes that had been dumped into the recycling container.
Aug. 3
Crews responded to 20 calls, including 14 medical aid, two mutual aid, one fire, one automatic fire alarm, one motor vehicle collision and one service call.
At 6:24 p.m. firefighters responded to the 15900 block of Mill Creek Blvd. and extinguished a smoldering bark fire.
Aug. 4
Crews responded to 21 calls, including 12 medical aid, two motor vehicle collisions, two automatic fire alarms, two mutual aid, and two fire/odor investigations.
At 8:01 a.m. firefighters responded to a three-car motor vehicle collision in the 17900 block of Highway 9. Firefighters treated and transported two people to Providence Medical Center.
Aug. 5
Crews responded to 18 calls, including 12 medical aid, three fires, one illegal burn and one automatic fire alarm.
Firefighters were dispatched to a residential fire on 166 Court SE at 6:55 p.m. Firefighters found a small fire inside the wall of a bathroom which was caused by a butane torch used for plumbing.
Aug. 6
Crews responded to 10 calls, including seven medical aid and three fires.
At 2:49 a.m. firefighters responded to and extinguished a small bark fire in the 14700 block of Mill Creek Blvd.
