The Edmonds Fire Department made 77 calls in and around Edmonds from April 17-23, which brings this year’s total calls to 1,559.

April 23

A 34-year-old suffered a seizure. A 62-year-old with abdominal pain was transported to Stevens Hospital.

Fire crews responded to a reported tree burning caused by a barbeque that caught a branch on fire in the 23000 block of 76th Avenue West, and a vehicle engine fire in the 23000 block of Edmonds Way.

April 22

Fire crews were dispatched to a sounding smoke detector at a residence in the 8400 block of 188th Street Southwest but found no problems, and provided scene safety at a smoke-filled restaurant in the 3800 block of 196th Street in Lynnwood.

April 21

Of nine medical responses, three were to assist fall patients ages 72, 83, and 90.

Fire crews responded to four calls, including a complaint of a possible illegal outdoor fire in the 21700 block of 97th Avenue West. Firefighters found a small cooking fire that met outdoor cooking regulations.

April 20

Medical responses totaled six. A 51-year-old patient who was found distracted and confused in the 600 block of Seventh Avenue North was transported to Stevens Hospital.
