Fire District 1 responded to 243 calls from Feb. 18-24. District 1 serves Silver Firs and Martha Lake.
Feb. 18
Crews responded to 42 calls, including 24 medical aid, five fires, five fire alarms, three service calls, two mutual aid calls and one illegal burn.
Feb. 19
Crews responded to 40 calls, including 23 medical aid, three investigations, seven fire alarms, three mutual aid calls, one auto accident and one service call.
At 11:20 p.m., firefighters responded to a truck fire in the Wal-Mart parking lot on 164th St. SW. A man sleeping in his truck incorrectly attached a propane tank he was using for heating and ignited the back of the truck. Firefighters used 400 gallons of foam and water to extinguish the fire.
Feb. 20
Crews responded to 26 calls, including 18 medical aid, one fire, two investigations, two service calls, one illegal burn and one fire alarm.
Feb. 21
Crews responded to 25 calls, including 21 medical aid, one auto accident, one service call and one mutual aid call.
Feb. 22
Crews responded to 29 calls, including 20 medical aid, three auto accidents, one carbon monoxide alarm, three mutual aid calls, one fire alarm and one service call.
Feb. 23
Crews responded to 43 calls, including 35 medical aid, two service calls, one fire, two auto accidents, one natural gas leak investigation and one fire alarm.
Feb. 24
Crews responded to 38 calls, including 27 medical aid, two fires, four fire alarms, four auto accidents and one investigation.
