Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 271 calls the week of March 19-25.
March 22
District 1 crews responded to 30 calls: 25 emergency medical aid calls, three motor vehicle collisions, one fire and one fire alarm.
At 12:50 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision in the 18400 block of North Road and transported two patients to Stevens Hospital.
March 21
District 1 crews responded to 37 calls: 24 emergency medical aid calls, seven motor vehicle collisions, three fires, two fire alarms and one service call.
At 3:11 a.m., firefighters responded to a car that crashed into a ravine at 148th St. SW and 44th Ave. W. Before they arrived, the occupants left the scene.
At 7:19 a.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision in the 15900 block of Highway 99. No one was injured.
At 12:13 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision in Mountlake Terrace at 232nd St. SW and 52nd Ave. W. No one was injured.
At 1:54 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 128th St. SW and 4th Dr. W. No one was injured.
At 9:43 p.m., firefighters transported two patients to Stevens Hospital after responding to a two-car collision in Mountlake Terrace in the 7000 block of 220th St. SW.
At 10:58 p.m., firefighters responded to a camper fire in the 4100 block of Shelby Road.
March 20
District 1 crews responded to 45 calls: 36 emergency medical aid calls, one fire, three motor vehicle collisions, three service calls, one natural gas leak and one fire alarm.
At 12:47 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of an odor of natural gas inside Oak Heights Elementary School. Students were evacuated while firefighters checked the school. They could not locate the source of the odor and could not detect any natural gas when they checked the school with monitoring equipment. Students were returned to their classrooms.
At 3:08 p.m., firefighters responded to the 21000 block of Locust Way where a tree fell across the road, taking out power lines. A motorcyclist crashed into the fallen tree, but he was not injured. Firefighters requested PUD to secure the power and asked for a county road crew to assist with removing the large tree. Neighbors with heavy equipment assisted as well. It took about an hour and a half to clear away the debris.
At 4:04 p.m., firefighters responded to a collision at 164th St. SW and Meadow Road. No one was injured.
At 5:59 p.m., a 7-year-old boy was struck by a car in the 12100 block of Meridian Ave. He was transported by firefighters to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
March 19
District 1 crews responded to 47 calls: 38 emergency medical aid calls, four fires, two motor vehicle collisions, two fire alarms and one service call.
At 2:36 p.m., firefighters responded to a car that crashed into a fence in Mountlake Terrace in the 5700 block of 232nd St. SW. No one was injured.
At 6:26 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 112th St. SW and 4th Ave. W. No one was injured.
