The Edmonds Third Thursday Art Walk coordinators invite you to make this New Year’s Resolution: Enjoy more art.

Join them Jan. 18 when downtown Edmonds merchants offer extended hours from 5-8 p.m. for patrons to enjoy an evening of art. This month’s attractions include:

Salon Pena: Colleen Lambert’s realistic oil paintings.

Semantics Gallery: Vibrant acrylic work by Marcio Diaz.

Wishing Stone: Russell Smith photographs the nature and landmarks of the Northwest.

Sapphire: Dana Hunting’s photographs from a recent trip to Italy featuring traditional black-and-white methods.

HouseWARES: Kathleen Moore’s vibrant portraits of fruits and vegetables.

Affordable Gallery at Ambience: Kathy Moore creates the chalk pictures/advertising at the Lynnwood Trader Joes. See her other artwork on display here.

Resident Cheesemonger: Scott Frank’s award-winning photos are shot using only available light.

Kindred Circle: Elizabeth Merrill’s exquisitely woven classical jackets.

Coldwell Banker Bain: Lisa Bender’s lampwork glass becomes gorgeous jewelry. Watch as she demonstrates.

Gallagher’s: John Bean’s photography is inspired by his eye for seeing beauty.

Arista: Debbie Harrington’s photographs capture an extraordinary view of vineyards.

C’est la Vie: Brian Andreas’ Story People value the connections between people.

Bluefish: View the new collection of freshwater and Swarovski pearl jewelry designs.

Walnut Street Coffee: Kelcey Bates’ vibrant pastels show a connection to nature.

John L. Scott: Duane Simshauser’s mixed-media large-format paintings.

Edmonds Mercantile and Auction: Tom Knapp’s metal sculptures include Western-themed bronze sculptures.

Edmonds Bookshop: Original short stories and poems from the Edmonds-Woodway High School Writer’s Guild. Pictures and stories from Seaview Elementary students.

Cole Gallery: Join Denise Cole in celebrating the grand opening of her new gallery with nationally acclaimed artists such as Dianna Shyne, Deborah Deonigi and Patty Forte Linna. Refreshments and jazz round out the evening.

Gallery North: A group show with all members of this artist co-op showing new works.

The Gallery: Featuring sculpture by Sabah Al-Dhaher, as well as works by Artists Connect and NW Stone Sculptors’ Association.

Frances Anderson Center: Jane Mayer’s pastels are on view at the library, while works by internationally renowned glass blower, Sonja Blomdahl, are on display.

Autumn’s Framing: Enjoy Autumn Kegley’s detailed floral fantasy series “Language of Flowers.”

Aria: Joan E Archer unveils a new oil from the on-going horse series. Leah Goodwin’s black-and-white photographs feature Northwest scenes and classic motorcycles.

Nama’s: Sample delectable chocolates made with artisan care.

Olives: Finish up the art walk with a glass of wine while enjoying Patty Forte Linna’s pastels.
