Blanche Niznik’s collection of paintings in oil and pastels titled “A Glimpse Into My World” will be on display at Kaewyn Gallery in Bothell from Sept. 10 to Oct. 20.
As a career flight attendant, Niznik had the opportunity to study great art and see great landscapes and fascinating people during extensive travels throughout Europe and the Far East. She has brought those experiences to the canvas in her work with oils, pastels, and pen and ink. Since her retirement from the airline industry, Niznik has devoted her attention to her career in art by attending workshops and seminars presented by prominent national and international artists, by attending classes at the Seattle Academy of Fine Art and by focusing on her work.
Niznik has had works in numerous juried and invitational shows in recent years and is the recipient of several awards. This is her fourth one-person exhibit. Niznik is a member of American Women Artists, the Northwest Pastel Society, Oil Painters of America and the American Society of Marine Artists.
