Heartfelt gifts from downtown Edmonds

Edmonds retailers Arista Wine Cellars and Nama’s Candies are teaming up this Valentine’s Day season.

Sip wines and sample sweets from a warm chocolate fountain 5-7 p.m. Feb. 10 at the wine shop, 320 Fifth Ave. S. The tasting is free.

Arista also offers special wine and chocolate gifts. Selections include half-bottles of champagne and truffles or chocolate-covered caramels and sea salt paired with wine or port.

Gifts will be available through Feb. 14.

Chanterelle offers special V-Day menu

Chanterelle is offering a Valentine’s Day feast this Feb. 14 in addition to its regular menu, for those who can’t part from their favorites.

Three-course heartfelt dinners including soup, salad and a selection of entrées ranging from top sirloin and jumbo prawns and a perfect pair of pork chops to limoncello-kissed lobster pasta and baked chicken with a pink peppercorn and brandy cream sauce. Prix fixe $19.99 to $25.99.

Taste Washington tickets on sale

Tickets are now on sale for 2012 Taste Washington. The 14th annual event has expanded to two days at CenturyLink Field Event Center, Seattle.

Hundreds of Washington wineries will pour selections alongside Northwest chefs serving perfectly paired bites.

Tickets are available at www.tastewashington.org. General one-day admission tickets are $75. VIP early admission tickets are $125. Two-day prices are $99 and $150 respectively.
