Speakers on state funding available

Community groups interested in spreading the message about the state school funding picture can request a copy of a documentary film on the topic from the WEA Cascade UniServ Council, the teacher’s union that serves educators in Shoreline, Northshore and Edmonds.

The council recently commissioned a documentary filmmaker to produce a DVD about the effects of state under funding of education. The film, “A Call to Action,” is about 20 minutes. Speakers are available to show and talk about the film at local meetings and events.

Groups can contact Elizabeth Beck at the Seattle Education Association office at SEA.President@WashingtonEA.org to help arrange a speaker.
