Testing for the Shoreline School District’s Highly Capable Program for elementary grades will begin this month for the 2010-2011 school year for students currently enrolled in the district.
All district first-grade students will be tested in October. Parents of current district first-graders will receive information in the mail about the testing. Students who qualify will go on for further testing in January 2010.
Interested parents of private school first-grade students can register online. Registration ends Oct. 24, 2009. There will be a $50 charge for students to test who are not currently enrolled in the Shoreline School District.
Make your check payable to the Shoreline School District and send it at the time of registration to Trudy Wright, Shoreline School District, 18560 First Ave. NE, Shoreline, WA 98155.
Students in grades 2-5 not currently being served by the program, private school and non-resident students will be tested in January 2010. Parents interested in nominating their child to be assessed for program eligibility can register online at www.shorelineschools.org/programs/highly_capable/registration.
