Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Grace M. Perez has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Perez, daughter of Elena Ortiz of Brier, is a 2004 graduate of Mountlake Terrace High School.

Lynnwood

Air Force Staff Sgt. Sarah R. Bensch has deployed to Southwest Asia in the Persian Gulf region to support the mission of Operation Enduring Freedom as a member of the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing. The sergeant, a protocol specialist with six years of military service., is normally assigned to Headquarters, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colo. She is the daughter of Mark and Lynne Pollock of Camano Island and Karen and Doug Yuckert of Bothell. Bensch graduated in 2000 from Lynnwood High School and received an associate degree in 2005 from the Community College of the Air Force.

Mark A. Abbott has been awarded an Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) college scholarship for two years at the University of Washington, Seattle. Upon graduation and completion of the ROTC requirements, cadets are commissioned as second lieutenants in the Army. Abbott, son of George and Kazue Abbott of Lynnwood, is a 2006 graduate of Snohomish County Christian School in Lynnwood.

Army Spec. Eric O. Jones Jr. has returned to the 1st Battalion, 94th Field Artillery, Baumholder, Germany, after being deployed to an overseas forward-operating location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Jones, son of Eric Jones Sr. of Slidell, La., and Kyung Hill of Lynnwood, is a senior mechanic with six years of military service.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Joshua P. Hurley has deployed to Southwest Asia in the Persian Gulf region as a member of the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing. The airman, a security forces member with one year of military service, is normally assigned to the 48th Security Forces Squadron, RAF Lakenheath, England. Hurley, son of William and Sandra Hurley of Lynnwood, is a 2003 graduate of Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood.

Edmonds

Air Force Airman 1st Class Jordan T. Cookston has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Cookston received an associate degree in 2001 from Edmonds Community College.

Air Force Airman Troy F. Miller has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Miller is the son of Randy Miller of Montgomery, Mich., and Janice Feikes of Edmonds.

Mill Creek/Bothell

Army Pfc. Courtenay C. Follette has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. She is the daughter of Donovan and Lorie Follette of Bothell.

Army Reserve Pfc. Zachary K. Croissant has graduated from the Unit Supply Specialist Advanced Individual Training course at the Quartermaster Battalion, Fort Lee, Petersburg, Va. Croissant, son of Thomas Croissant of Everett and Becky Croissant of Bothell, is a 2006 graduate of Bothell High School.

Air Force Airman Mikael M. Molineux has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Molineux is the son of Kristine Molineux of Bothell and Richard Molineux of Union Gap, Wash.

Army National Guard Pvt. Jacob N. Taylor has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Taylor is the brother of Starlynn Taylor of Shoreline.

Air Force Airman Garrett M. Clark has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Clark, son of Donna Clark of Shoreline, is a 2005 graduate of Shorewood High School.

Army Pvt. Javier D. Hayworth has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky. Hayworth, son of Danny Hayworth of Shoreline and Rosalina Christoffersen of Arlington, is a 2001 graduate of Everett Community College.
