Edmonds
Army Pvt. Joseph T. Parks has graduated from basic and advanced infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. Parks is the son of Tom and Marcia Parks of Edmonds and a 2002 graduate of Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood. The private is assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division out of Ft. Hood, Texas and was deployed overseas to Kuwait, then to Iraq, for a year long tour of duty.
Army Pvt. Jeremy N. Drenski, son of Vicki Drenski of Edmonds and Jeff Drenski of Lynnwood, has graduated from basic training at Fort Benning, Ga., where he also began his training as an airborne Ranger. After a brief visit home in July, he is in Italy to continue his training.
Mill Creek/Bothell
Air Force Cadet Kevin M. McGuiness has entered basic cadet training at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo. He is preparing to enter the first academic year at the academy. Cadets must complete the six-week, two-phased orientation program prior to entering their freshman year. He is the son of Michael and Karen McGuiness of Snohomish. McGuiness is a 2005 graduate of Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy High School, Everett.
Cadet Eli Wolff, son of Peter and Ruth Wolff of Arlington, has completed cadet basic training at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. He is the third Wolff brother to attend the academy. The cadet graduated from Archbishop Murphy High School in 2006. He plans to graduate from West Point in 2010 and be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army.
Air Force Airman David J. Webb has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Katherine Webb of Everett and a 2005 graduate of Henry M. Jackson High School, Mill Creek.
Army Pvt. William G. Jonsson has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky. Jonsson is the son of Eric Jonsson of Kirkland and Leslie Jonsson of Bothell. The private is a 1999 graduate of Bothell High School.
Lynnwood
Army Pvt. Kevin P. Trinh has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Tim Trinh of Lynnwood. Trinh is a 2006 graduate of Shoreline High School.
Army Pvt. Damien M. Anderson has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky. Anderson, who is the son of Bill Anderson of Everett, graduated from a home-school program in 2002 and earned an associate degree in 2005 from Edmonds Community College in Lynnwood.
