Mill Creek/Bothell

Army Sgt. Heather L. Brott graduated from the Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer/Integrator Advanced Individual Training course at Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista, Ariz. She is the daughter of Sharon and Edward Johnson of Bothell.

Navy Seaman Recruit Tiffany E. Castine, daughter of Jack Castine of Bothell, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Nicholas S. Van Kregten, son of Alma and Robert Van Kregten of Mill Creek, recently reported for duty with Marine Aviation Training Support Group 53, Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor. Van Kregten is a 1999 graduate of Henry M. Jackson High School in Mill Creek and joined the Marine Corps in May 2003.

Shoreline

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Victor G. Aque, son of Hsiue and Stuart Aque of Shoreline, is currently in the middle of a routine scheduled deployment, while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, homeported in Bremerton, Wash. The Carl Vinson CSG recently relieved the USS Harry S. Truman CSG in support of Iraq and maritime security operations. Aque is a 2002 graduate of Shorewood High School and joined the Navy in October 2002.

Navy Seaman Shane N. Muai, son of Sunday Boone of Hephzibah, Ga., and Suega Muai of Shoreline, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Lynnwood

Army Capt. Mark E. Jacobson is deploying to Afghanistan to serve as a member of Combined Joint Task Force-76 (CJTF-76). The soldier is regularly assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade based at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy. Jacobson, a personnel officer, has served four years in the Army. He is the son of Stanley and Julia Jacobson of Lynnwood. In 1997, the captain graduated from Snohomish County Christian School in Mountlake Terrace and in 2001, received a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y.

Army Sgt. Jennifer H. Rogge has been decorated with the Army Achievement Medal. Rogge, a shift supervisor with two years of military service, is assigned to the 293rd Signal Company, Camp Carroll, Waegwan, South Korea. She is the daughter of Daniel Kimzey of Lynnwood and Susan Grewe of Troy, Mo.

Edmonds

Air Force Airman Eun M. Chun has graduated from the Avionic Attack Control Systems Apprentice Course for F-15 fighter aircraft at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas. Chun, son of Seung and Hyung Chun of Edmonds, is a 2004 graduate of Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood.

Marine Corps Pvt. Timothy K. Sund, son of Bernita and Ronald Sund of Edmonds, recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, Calif. Sund is a 2001 graduate of Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood.
