Shoreline

Marine Corps Reserve Cpl. Robin P. Bajra, son of Keshar and Preman Bajra of Shoreline, recently deployed to Iraq while assigned to Battery P, 5th Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, an artillery unit. Bajra is a 2000 graduate of Ingraham High School in Seattle, and joined the Marine Corps Reserve in October 2000.

Air Force Capt. Andrew J. Pence has graduated from specialized undergraduate pilot training (SUPT) at Columbus Air Force Base, Miss. The student earned silver wings with an aeronautical rating of pilot in the Air Force. Pence, son of Jann and Carol Pence of Shoreline, graduated in 1992 from Shorecrest High School and received a bachelor’s degree in 1997 from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho.

Mill Creek/Bothell

Navy Seaman Apprentice Adam C. Ihlanfeldt, son of Carol and Steve Ihlanfeldt of Bothell, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training and was meritoriously promoted to his current rank at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Ihlanfeldt is a 2001 graduate of Inglemoor High School in Kenmore.

Lynnwood

Army Pvt. Desiree L. Garcia has graduated from the power-generation equipment repairer advanced individual training (AIT) course at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, Md. Garcia, granddaughter of Edith Slack of Lynnwood, is a 2003 graduate of Lynnwood High School.

Army Pfc. Shelby N. Babcock-Marchesano has graduated from the unit supply specialist advanced individual training course at Fort Lee, Petersburg, Va. Babcock-Marchesano, daughter of Jewel and Stan Babcock of Lynnwood, is a 1993 graduate of Meadowdale High School.

Edmonds

Marine Corps Reserve Lance Cpl. Mark A. Bryant, son of Theresa and David Bryant of Edmonds, and nearly 150 other Spokane area Marine reservists recently deployed to Iraq while assigned to Battery P, 5th Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, an artillery unit. Bryant is a 1999 graduate of Ingraham High School in Seattle and joined the Marine Corps Reserve in March 2001.
