It’s a relationship that just keeps on growing

The Tulalip Casino has once again agreed to be a major sponsor of the Marysville Strawberry Festival. Their support marks an ongoing rapport between the festival board and the Tulalip Tribes. This bond has blossomed over the years to the benefit of the community.

The new Tulalip Casino opened last year almost simultaneously with the 2003 Marysville Strawberry Festival. Both events were a great success. The casino continues to develop and expand, but still heavily involves itself in support of the local community.

Currently, the casino is represented by advertising manager and tribal member Cara Althoff, who is also serving on the Maryfest Board of Directors.

The Strawberry Festival likes to reciprocate in this relationship when it can.

“Marysville sends the Strawberry Festival Royalty out to the Long House for our Salmon Ceremony,” said parade Grand Marshal and tribal member Raymond Moses. “It’s nice to see them there.”

There’s no doubt the happy relationship will continue for many years to come.
