Jackson sophomore Nick Win represented the Timberwolves at state by taking eighth in the 200-yard individual medley, Saturday Feb. 21.

Win posted a time of 2 minutes, 3.54 seconds in the finals after swimming a 2:01.24 in the preliminaries.

“It was great,” Win said. “I want to get better of course. It’s a good place to start out with the top eight.”

The medal was Win’s first at the state 4A swim and dive championships at the King County Aquatic Center.

Win, who won the 4A District 1 championship in the backstroke Feb. 13, finished 10th at state in that event with a time of 55.80.
