Joanna Goff has been appointed to a four-year term on the Edmonds Arts Commission.
Joanna Goff, a theater arts instructor at Edmonds Community College, has more than 30 years experience in the performing arts as an actor, director, teacher, active board member of arts organizations, and as a creator and producer of theatre at many sites including professional and educational venues. She played a leading role in EdCC’s production of “All My Sons,” which was directed by Dan Kramer.
Goff moved to Edmonds in 2003, having previously taught theater arts in both Pendleton and Portland, Ore. She has a master’s degree in acting from the University of Minnesota.
The Arts Commission meets at 6 p.m. on the first Monday of each month to advise and recommend on arts issues and arts programs to the mayor and City Council.
The city ordinance requires that four of the seven-member board “shall be involved in the instruction of or otherwise professionally engaged in the visual and/or performing arts.”
Goff fills the vacancy for a performing arts professional.
