Kudos: Edmonds consulting firm wins engineering excellence award

Landau Associates, a consulting firm in Edmonds, has earned a Silver Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies in Washington at the 2014 Engineering Excellence Awards. The honor was given for their work in engineering a collaborative course of action across two environmental projects at the Port of Bellingham.

Clifton View Homes in Coupeville has been awarded a Housing Innovation Award from the Department of Energy’s Challenge Home program. The winning entry is a 2,908 square-foot home that was completed in July 2011. The home achieved an HERS index score of 34 and is projected to save the homeowners $1,500 in annual energy costs compared to a similar sized code built home.
