Incumbent Democratic 2nd District Congressman Rick Larsen holds a big financial lead over Republican Dan Matthews as the two have won dual endorsements from the Seattle Times for the Aug. 7 primary.

Larsen has $702,515 in campaign cash, followed by $81,516 for Matthews and $7,226 for Republican John C. W. Shoop.

Matthews and Shoop are challenging Larsen in the primary, along with Republican Eli Olson and independents Glen S. Johnson and Mike Lapointe. The top two vote-getters in the Aug. 7 primary advance to the Nov. 6 general election ballot.
