Leave no trace, save salmon

Hi, my name is Gabe and I’m in fifth grade. Me and my class have been learning about the health of water with videos and even a field trip where we got to see the health of Perrinville Creek.

What we can do is to help the environment. We’ll also keep the water healthy, like leaving no trace. Leaving no trace would be like leaving a trail the way you found it, like not littering.

Many more salmon will survive if we do this. To see that we’re doing good we should see more salmon going through the locks. And that means we’ll have more salmon in the Puget Sound.

But if we don’t keep the environment healthy, it will hurt salmon, water, the Puget Sound and us humans too, so let’s keep our environment healthy.
