Construction could begin as early as July on several additions to city buildings, Lynnwood Public Works director Bill Nims told council members last week.

The city council last Monday approved a contract with the firm of Lewis-Nelson for design of four projects: a $350,000 addition to the library, a $120,000 addition to the police station, a $205,000 addition to the fire station and a new $50,000 restroom at Wilcox Park.
