Jim Morino, co-owner of Acura of Lynnwood, said he is honored to be named the 51st president of the Rotary Club of Lynnwood.

Morino, who has been a Rotarian since 1985, said he originally joined the Lynnwood Club because of all the projects the club was involved with.

“I joined Rotary to give back to our local and international community,” Morino said. “I wanted to be able to get involved, hands-on, with what was happening to the community where I live and own a business.”

As president of the Rotary Club of Lynnwood this year, Morino said his main goal is to continue to grow a strong and vibrant club.

“I also want to see our members get to know each other even better than they already do. This closeness keeps our club strong and leads the way for new people to want to join the club as well.”

Morino lives in Edmonds with his wife Kathie and 7-year-old son, Alec.

The Rotary Club of Lynnwood has a 50-year history of community service. Projects include adding senior citizen housing, construction industry training for students, grants and scholarships.

For information on how to join, contact the club’s membership director Bernie Sigler at 425-745-1938 or go to www.lynnwoodrotary.org.
