Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an early morning shooting Dec. 27 that left a 45-year-old man with a bullet in his abdomen.
Police responded to the shooting at a motel in the 16000 block of Highway 99, at 2:20 a.m. The man’s wife told deputies she heard a knock on the door of the couple’s motel unit. She opened the door part way and was greeted by the suspect, whom she described as a 6-foot tall man wearing a ski mask, dark colored ski jacket and dark pants.
The suspect forced the door open and fired a single shot into the motel room, striking the woman’s husband.
The Major Crimes Unit with the sheriff’s office is investigating the incident.
