Mill Creek Youth Advisory Board
Currently 21 teens from the Mill Creek community have been selected to serve as board members of the Mill Creek Youth Advisory Board. Youth board members will be busy planning and organizing programs for students in Mill Creek and participating in a variety of community related activities including community service.

Mill Creek Park Board seeks input
The city of Mill Creek Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is seeking community input for the naming of its new Community Park located on SR 527 and Trillium Blvd.
The park includes an artificial turf Little League field and a modified soccer field as well as a 10,000 square foot skateboard park and is scheduled to open in July.
Suggestions for names should be submitted in writing and received no later than Jan. 30. The Park Board will review the input and make recommendations to the city Council.

board members
Do you feel strongly about your city’s Parks and Recreation, Landmark Preservation or other concerns? This is your opportunity to give your feedback and recommend ways to best serve your community.
All appointments will take effect April 1 unless otherwise noted. The City Council will conduct interviews March 10 and is expected to make appointments March 17. Board and Commission applications are being accepted until Feb. 7.
Eleven positions on six boards and commissions will be appointed for the following:
Landmark Preservation Board: Two volunteer five-year terms beginning April 1 and expiring March 31, 2008.
Library Advisory Board: Two volunteer five-year terms beginning April 1 and expiring March 31, 2008.
Lodging Tax/Tourism Advisory Committee: Three volunteer two-year terms beginning April 1 and expiring March 31, 2005.
Parks &Recreation Board: One volunteer three-year term beginning April 1 and expiring March 31, 2006.
Planning Commission: Two paid vacant four-year terms beginning April 1 and expiring March 31, 2007. Compensation is $300 per month.
Shorelines Board: One volunteer five-year term beginning April 1 and expiring March 31, 2008.
All board and commission positions offer educational and fulfilling opportunities to become involved in city government. The filing period for these positions closes at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7.
