MOUNTLAKE TERRACE ‹ Mountlake Terrace assistant Police Chief Steve Foster was scheduled for surgery Dec. 4 to remove a disc and do some fusion in his neck.

The 25 year Mountlake Terrace police veteran injured his neck while working years ago and as he¹s gotten older, he said, the injury has gotten worse.

³I¹ve found that this injury is real common in active people,² Foster said.

Foster said he will be out of work for about two to four months for recovery and then plans to return to his duties as assistant police chief.

Foster, a Lynnwood resident, is married and has a son, daughter in-law and two grandsons.
