Multi-Arts exhibit now at Lynnwood Library

Artworks by students from the Long Gao Institute of Multi-Arts are on display at the Lynnwood Library Gallery, located at 19200 44th Ave. W. in Lynnwood.

Chinese artist Long Gao immigrated to the U.S. in 1996 and opened the Long Gao Institute of Multi-Arts. Students learn classical and contemporary styles in a multitude of media including sculpture, oil painting, seal cuttings, folk art and architecture.

Many of Gao’s students have gone on to professional art institutes and are now professional artists. His students have exhibited at the Tacoma Art Museum and Washington State University.

The exhibit is available for viewing now through, May 20. The gallery is open 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The library is closed on national holidays. Gallery viewings are free to the public. For more information, call the Lynnwood Recreation Center at 425-771-4030.
