New publisher takes over La Raza

EVERETT — Alvaro Guillen has been named publisher of La Raza del Noroeste, one of Washington state’s top Spanish language publications.

Until recently, Guillen served as sales manager for the award-winning paper, which is part of Sound Publishing, the parent company for The Herald.

Prior to that, the Peruvian native was the sales and marketing manager for Latin America for the German firm Statcom GmBH. Guillen and his family live in Mountlake Terrace.
