Olympic Ballet Theatre continues its celebration of 25 years of dance as they present the final production of their Anniversary Season, “Festival of Friends,” at the Northshore Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 25.

OBT’s Spring Production of “Festival of Friends” will bring together six ballet companies from the Puget Sound area and Canada, including Ballet Bellevue, Evergreen City Ballet, Peninsula Dance Theatre of Bremerton, Olympic Ballet Theatre of Edmonds, Whidbey Island Dance Theatre, and Richmond Academy of Dance of Vancouver, Canada in performance together for the first time on stage.

The variety of performance choices and styles from each company represents a spectrum of dance choreography from 1845 to 2006, classical ballet from historical to contemporary and modern pieces.

OBT intends “Festival of Friends” to be a one-of-a-kind opportunity for audiences to see diverse and exceptional choreography by local Northwest artists, as well as a showcase for the skills that these pre-professional dancers have to offer. The show is planned as a medium for dancers to be mutually challenged by the inspiration and motivation of other dancers and to celebrate not only their uniqueness, but their kinship through dance.

“OBT is proud to perform in the city of Bothell’s new performance center. We are very excited about the new theatre, and look forward to introducing our patrons to this venue,” said Helen Wilkins, Olympic Ballet Theatre’s Artistic Director. “We are fortunate to showcase all these dancers together on such a beautiful stage.”

Tickets to this performance are $25 for adults and $20 for students, available by calling Olympic Ballet Theatre at 425-774-7570 or through their box office located in the Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main Street, Edmonds or through TicketMaster.

The Northshore Performing Arts Center is located at 18125 92nd Avenue NE in Bothell.
