Tom Niva , an Everett native and graduate of Everett High School and the University of Washington, has returned home as area general manager for CLEAR. His responsibilities include all sales and business development activities for CLEAR in Snohomish County and north to Bellingham.
The Community Transit Board of Directors has selected Snohomish County Council Chair Dave Gossett as the chair of the agency’s board. Mukilteo Mayor Joe Marine was elected as vice chair and Mill Creek Mayor Mike Todd as secretary. The three will lead the new Community Transit Board.
Everett city councilman Shannon Affholter and businesswoman Vikki Strand have joined the Everett Community College Foundation Board of Trustees. Affholter, of Everett, is a Business Development Executive with Moss Adams LLP.
Snohomish Health District has selected Randy Darst to direct the Environmental Health Division of the local public health agency. Darst will oversee the staff and administrative operations of nine programs.
The YMCA of Snohomish County has announced that Bob Wojcik of Cascade Bank was elected as Board of Trustees secretary. Leslie Lauer of The Boeing Company was elected vice chair. Other additions to the Board of Trustees include Mark Mantei , COO for The Everett Clinic. Dr. Gary Cohn of Everett Public Schools and Kurt Loring of Fluke Electronics were also recently added.
Community Health Center of Snohomish County announced that Kimbra Wells Metz , MHA has joined their organization as Chief Operating Officer. The move happened in December 2009. The organization said that Metz brings with her a breadth of health care industry experience that spans integrated health system delivery as well as hospital/ambulatory care operations.
Sparling has announced staff promotions from the Seattle and Lynnwood offices. Troy Thrun has been promoted to vice president in charge of firm strategy on design services for studios. Robert Prichard is now vice president in charge of developing strategies for technical consulting. Karl Pihl is principal for technology consulting. Maureen Jackson is the associate principal for electrical engineering. Christian Haas is associate principal for electrical engineering. Kendra Fuller is the new associate principal director of human resources. Randy Fisher is now an associate and Timothy Philomeno , software development manager is now an associate.
HWA GeoSciences Inc. has hired Brian Coker as a construction field inspector. With more than 11 years experience in the construction industry, Coker inspects the placement of soils, concrete, asphalt, anchors, and masonry for municipal, residential, commercial, and light industrial projects. He has been inspecting construction at Lift Stations 7 and 8 in Edmonds.
Nine new staff and interns have joined the Everett office of Moss Adams LLP. Matthew Reynolds, Junko Miyagi-Tamai, Ryn Jewett, Morgan Axton, Corey Preugschat, Matt Stopa, Kha Do, Lisa Semritc, and Rebecka McDonald are among the new additions.
D.A. Davidson &Co. has elected Jeffrey Decker to its company board of directors. Decker works from the company’s Everett office as Senior Vice President, Financial Consultant, and brings 18 years of experience to his board position. Decker joined D.A. Davidson &Co. and has been serving investors from the Everett office since October 1999, after previously working with Dain Rauscher and Piper Jaffray. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Santa Clara University. He works in partnership with his father, Jack Decker .
Banner Bank has promoted Diana Ortega to Commercial Loan Officer at their Everett Colby Commercial Banking Center. She was formerly a Credit Analyst. Ortega has over 12 years of banking experience and has worked for Banner Bank for nine of those years. Throughout the years she has gained valuable experience serving as a Relationship Manager, Personal Banker and Credit Analyst.
Rick Long has joined Pacific Vascular Inc. as director of business development and marketing. Long will head the Northwest’s leading provider of vascular ultrasound diagnostic services in new initiatives for patient and medical community outreach and development.
