LYNNWOOD — Plant Amnesty will protest the “mistreatment and mutilation” of trees along Lynnwood’s roads at a demonstration noon, Sunday, March 26, near the corner Highway 99 and 180th Street SW.

The protesters want to draw attention to extreme tree cutting and pruning which detracts from the city’s beauty, said Howard Skwer of Lynnwood. He is also concerned that property owners violating the city’s tree regulations.

Trees should be trimmed or cut by licensed arborists, who are trained to care for trees, Skwer said.
