Nov. 18
Minor in possession. 2900 block of 228th St. SW. Police cited a 20-year-old Mountlake Terrace man for possession of alcohol after he was stopped for riding a bicycle in the dark without a headlamp.
Nov. 17
Assault. Getaway Tavern, 24309 56th Ave. W. 1:50 a.m. Police arrested a 25-year-old Lynnwood man for allegedly punching a 22-year old bar patron after the suspect’s girlfriend was on the receiving end of a racial slur. The bartender said an argument had ensued over the racially motivated comments. Then the suspect hit the victim, who was apparently misidentified as the insulter, in the head. Police later arrested the suspect at a nearby gas station.
Nov. 16
DUI. 21900 block Highway 99. 10:46 p.m. Police watched a car pull out of the Red Dragon Casino parking lot with its headlights off, so they stopped the car, noticed the odor of intoxicants on the driver, arrested him and booked him into Snohomish County Jail.
Humane. 22700 block of Brier Road. A 35-year-old Brier man said earlier in the month he was walking when he was bitten on the leg by a Belgian Shepherd dog. The dog was with his owner and two other dogs.
Eluding, possession of stolen property. 21400 block of 44th Ave W. An officer attempted a traffic stop on a 2006 Honda motorcycle which had been stolen from Mountlake Terrace. The driver first fled on the motorcycle then jumped from it and continued to flee on foot. A police dog tracked the suspect but didn’t find him. Later, police arrested a 17-year-old Lynnwood boy.
Nov. 15
Weapon on bus. An Edmonds School District bus driver asked for police help after a teenage boy riding the bus shot a fellow student in the leg with a pellet gun. The victim said he didn’t want to press charges.
The driver told officers she was terrified because she didn’t know whether the boy had a real gun. She said he complied with her order to put the gun away. Police released the suspect to the custody of his father and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office will follow up on the investigation.
Lynnwood police responded to 13 domestic violence calls Nov. 11-13.
