Here are selected reports from the Edmonds Police Department:

March 24

Police responded during to three incidents at the same motel in the 23800 block of Hwy. 99. In one, a woman was arrested on a Seattle Police warrant for prostitution and two males were arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. In another incident, a woman arrested for drug paraphernalia and a prostitution warrant claimed she was raped at the motel the previous night. In a third incident, a woman contacted for trespassing was found to have a warrant and later found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Theft. 8200 block of Lake Ballinger Way. A woman had her purse stolen from a shopping cart while she was unloading groceries.

March 23

Fireworks. 10100 block of Edmonds Way. A complaint of gunshots in the area resulted in a traffic stop and the issuance of infractions to three males for possession, use and discharge of fireworks.

Assisting other agency. 20100 block of 44th Ave. W. in Lynnwood. Canine assist to Lynnwood Police.

March 20

Forgery. 300 block of Main St. Complainant reported someone purchased a coffee table from his store with a forged check, which came back as stolen.

March 22

Assault. 24000 block of 101st Ave. N. A Child Protective Services report led to investigation of assault of a child.

March 20

Theft. 21600 block of 79th Ave. W. Speakers were stolen from an unlocked vehicle during the night.

Weapon. 7600 block of 212th St. SW. An adult with a concealed butterfly knife on the Edmonds-Woodway High School campus was charged and released.

March 19

Theft. 7600 block of 212th St. SW. Two violins left unattended at a school for several hours were stolen.

Theft. 100 block of Fifth Ave. N. Three concrete benches were stolen from in front of a business.

Malicious mischief. 21600 block of 84th Ave. W. Graffiti was painted on a building at Chase Lake Elementary.

Suspicious circumstances. 220 block of Fourth Ave. N. A medical business learned of hypodermic syringes on the road in front of the business.

Suspicious circumstances. 7300 block of 210th St. SW. A juvenile female reported possible stalking by an adult male.
