Here are selected reports from the Edmonds Police Department.

Aug. 9

INFORMATION. 800 block of Daley St., reported at 12:55 a.m. A man suffering from dementia fled his residence armed with a shotgun. He was captured and taken to Stevens Hospital for a mental evaluation and the shotgun was taken for safe-keeping purposes.

Aug. 8

AUTO THEFT. 100 block Fifth Ave. S., 1:06 p.m. The driver of a vehicle reports it stolen by known suspects.

HARRASSMENT. 8200 187th St. S.W., 12:32 p.m. A woman complains of harrassment by a relative of a neighbor. The complainant chooses not to write a statement or pursue charges.

Aug. 7

ASSAULT. 23900 block of Highway 99, 10:52 p.m. A man assaults a victim with a hatchet by waving it at him and threatening to kill him. The suspect was arrested for assault and transported to the Snohomish County Jail.

Aug. 6

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF. 500 block of Main St., 10:18 p.m. Two juveniles kicked over a business sign but the owners didn’t want to press charges. The juveniles were released to a guardian.
