Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 275 calls the week of April 23-29
April 29
District 1 crews responded to 44 calls: 36 emergency medical aid calls, two motor vehicle collisions, four fires, one service call and one fire alarm.
At 5:39 p.m., firefighters responded to a three-car collision at Admiralty Way and Airport Road. No one was injured.
April 28
District 1 crews responded to 33 calls: 23 emergency medical aid calls, three motor vehicle collisions, one natural gas leak, one fire and five fire alarms.
At 10:27 a.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision on southbound I-5 south of 164th St. SW. No one was injured.
At 12:30 p.m., two cars collided at 128th St. SW and 4th Ave. W. Firefighters took one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
April 27
District 1 crews responded to 42 calls: 35 emergency medical aid calls, two fires, three motor vehicle collisions, one service call and one fire alarm.
At 5:21 p.m., firefighters responded to a collision involving a sports utility vehicle and a pickup truck in the 2500 block of 164th St. SW. One patient was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett and another patient was transported to Stevens Hospital.
April 26
District 1 crews responded to 24 calls: 15 emergency medical aid calls, one motor vehicle collision, three fires, one service call and four fire alarms.
At 2:04 a.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision in the 15600 block of Highway 99. No one was injured.
April 25
District 1 crews responded to 42 calls: 33 emergency medical aid calls, four motor vehicle collisions, two fires, two service calls and one fire alarm.
At noon., firefighters responded to a kitchen fire at an apartment in the 500 block of 164th St. SW. The fire was contained to the kitchen area and caused about $5,000.
At 12:17 p.m., firefighters responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and a car at 148th St. SW and Highway 99. No one was injured.
At 2:20 p.m., a homeowner in the 19400 block of Locust Way reported smoke inside her house. Firefighters determined the smoke was from a burned-out dishwasher motor.
April 24
District 1 crews responded to 50 calls: 38 emergency medical aid calls, four fires, three motor vehicle collisions, one natural gas leak, two service calls and two fire alarms.
At 5:47 a.m., firefighters responded to a house full of smoke in the 4900 block of 212th St. SW in Mountlake Terrace. The residents had a fire in the fireplace. Firefighters discovered a problem with the damper and chimney that was causing the smoke to back up into the house. They cleared the smoke from the house and advised the homeowner to have the chimney cleaned and repaired before using the fireplace.
At 10:54 a.m., firefighters extricated a woman trapped in her car after it left the road and crashed into trees along northbound I-5 south of 220th St. SW. The woman was transported by medic unit to Harborview Medical Center.
At 11:36 p.m., firefighters responded to a one-car rollover collision in the 13700 block of 58th Pl W. No one was injured.
April 23
District 1 crews responded to 40 calls: 29 emergency medical aid calls, six fires, three motor vehicle collisions, one carbon monoxide alarm and one fire alarm.
At 5:17 a.m., firefighters responded to an apartment filled with smoke in the 15000 block of 35th Ave. W. They discovered it was steam, not smoke, that came from a malfunctioning hot water heater.
At 8:16 a.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 128th St. SW and E. Gibson Road. No one was injured.
At 9:26 a.m., firefighters took one person to the Stevens Hospital after responding to a collision on southbound I-5 south of 196th St. SW.
At 5:59 p.m., two cars collided in the 3300 block of 164th St. SW. Firefighters took one patient to Stevens Hospital.
