The following items were selected from synopses of Edmonds police reports:

July 31

DUI. 23000 block of Highway 99. A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for DUI.

Arson. 800 block of 186th St. SW. A report was made that unknown suspects lit the tennis net on fire at Seaview Park.

July 30

Found property. 9000 block of 236th St. SW. Someone’s mail was found at a school. The property was processed for prints and logged into evidence. The mail was returned to the victim.

Nuisance. 21000 block of 76th Ave. W. Someone from a dentist office reported they have received numerous phone calls and messages from a former patient. The dentist said they will seek an anti-harrassment order from the court.

Suspicious person. 8000 block of 234th St. SW. A report was made that someone found a suspicious vehicle and items. Officers were unable to locate the occupants of the vehicle.

Malicious mischief. 8000 236th St. SW. Two men walked on the hood of a car, and one kicked in the windshield. The men were located in an apartment and admitted to causing the damage. Charges currently are pending.

Burglary. 7000 block of 230th St. SW. Someone’s home was entered overnight through an unlocked sliding glass door and items were taken while the victim was asleep. No suspect information was available.

July 29

Found property. 70 block of Main St. A row boat was found in the water just off of the Edmonds underwater park. The boat was recovered by police as found property.

Reckless burn. 9000 block of 236th St. SW. Children playing with fireworks on a grassy area of school property ignited the grass. The Edmonds Fire Department was called and the fire was extinguished.

July 28

Suspicious circumstances. 300 Sixth Ave. S. An employee of a local community center reported finding a kitchen knife under a vehicle at the location. The knife is possibly linked to a previous assault.

Assault. 21000 block of 76th Ave. W. A patient at an Edmonds rehabilitation center intentionally assaulted a nurse. The assault was witnessed by two other employees. Assault charges were filed via the court.

Trespass. 20000 block of 76 Ave. W. A trespassing complaint located a man in need of psychiatric care. The man was transported to Stevens Hospital emergency room for evaluation.

Missing Person. 8000 block of 184th St. SW. An adult woman was reported missing for three weeks.
