Police beat

The following is a selection of police incidents which occurred in the past week in the cities of Lynnwood and/or Mountlake Terrace.

May 30

Malicious mischief. 22200 block of 44th Ave. W. A man reported unknown persons uprooted his mailbox from the ground. The man then saw two teenage males running from the area.

May 28

Car prowl. 22100 block of 53rd Ave. W. A man reported unknown persons broke into his vehicle with a pry bar-type device and stole $300 worth of CD’s. The door and window frame sustained about $1,000 damage.

Suspicious person. 21800 block of 44th Ave. W. An employee at Mountlake Terrace High School reported to police he had some concerns about a particular student who has had an apparent interest in making weapons and bombs. Police are investigating.

Malicious mischief. 4800 block of 212th St. SW. A man reported unknown persons attempted to break into his vehicle with a screwdriver, damaging the door and locking mechanism.

May 27

Car prowl. 5500 block of 220th St. SW. A man reported someone broke into his vehicle’s trunk and stole $90 worth of cigarettes. The man suspects it was a friend of his sons.
