A 16-year-old boy was arrested and booked into the Denney Juvenile Justice Center in Everett March 27 on a first degree burglary charge in connection with burglary of a home that morning in unincorporated Edmonds.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office responded at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to a burglary in progress in the 14200 block of 55th Avenue West. A man reported that he had interrupted a burglary in his home and that three suspects had fled on foot.
No injuries were reported.
Deputies set up containment in the general area and the Sheriff’s Office helicopter was used to help look for the suspects. A Sheriff’s Office K9 unit, Lynnwood Police K9 unit and Lynnwood police officers also assisted in the search.
Officers recovered a shotgun, six shotgun shells and two knives during their search for the suspects. The weapons are believed to have been stolen in another burglary in the area that morning. A third burglary also was reported to have been occurred in the vicinity that morning.
