LYNNWOOD — A man with a knife attempted to hold up a convenience store in the 1900 block of Larch Way about 1:30 a.m. Dec. 29, the Snohomish County sheriff’s office reported.
Deputies were told that the man approached the counter as if to purchase an item and pulled the knife when the cash register was opened. He threatened the clerk but ran from the store as the employee reached for a telephone.
Nobody was injured, sheriff’s spokesman Capt. Kevin Prentiss said.
The robber was described as Hispanic and in his early or mid-30s. He stands 5-feet-5 and weighs about 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray stocking cap, yellow hooded jacket with a black stripe on the back, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the sheriff’s tip line, 425-388-3845.
