The Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation celebrates the opening of the 49th Annual Edmonds Arts Festival with a preview event held Thursday, June 15 at the Frances Anderson Cultural Center in Edmonds. This year the party salutes one of Vincent van Gogh’s best known paintings, Starry Night.

Attendees will be the first to view and purchase juried works by Northwest artists. Attendees will also enjoy a gourmet buffet catered by local chef Michael Young of Olives Café and Wine Bar, a hosted beer and wine bar, and a no-host Festini Bar in a beautiful outdoor setting with unobstructed views of the evening sky over Puget Sound.

Early entry guests arrive at 6 p.m. ($100 level) and will be served champagne, wine, and hors d’oeuvres in the galleries as they view works and have the opportunity to meet with artists and jurors. Dinner begins at 6:45 p.m. Early entry guests will be recognized in the evening’s program as preview supporters ($25 tax deductible donation.)

General admission begins at 7 p.m. ($60 level) with wine in the galleries at 700 Main St., Edmonds.

Space is limited for Starry Night, so reservations must be made by June 1. Late responses will be accommodated on a space available basis. Call 425-774-8982 for further information. Information and a downloadable reservation form can be found at www.eaffoundation.org.

The 49th Annual Edmonds Arts Festival runs June 16-18. For more information, visit www.edmondsartsfestival.com.
