Progress in the eye of the beholder

I realize it is all but sacrilegious to question the “forward looking” people; however, who decided Seattle should be a “world-class city,” or living in Shoreline requires a “vision,” or Lake Forest Park is the private preserve of the “greenies” and their pet frogs?

Only the deluded, or those ignorant of what the recent past was like, would claim that the social fabric and infrastructure of today’s heavily regulated nanny society has “progressed” to something better.
