CLEARVIEW — Snohomish County Fire District 7 responded to a report of a deck fire in the 2600 block of 189th Street Southeast in Bothell on Oct. 22
When crews arrived, the fire was in the attic and quickly spreading throughout the home. No one was home, and two dogs and a goat that were outside were unharmed. Other small pets inside the home were unaccounted for.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. The house is expected to be a complete loss.
Overall, 22 fire/EMS personnel responded, including a regional Air Support unit from Snohomish County Fire District 26.
Attempted ATM theft
Someone in a white pickup truck smashed in a window at a Lynnwood-area Walgreens Oct. 25 and apparently tried to steal an ATM machine.
The attempt was not successful. Damage was significant at the pharmacy, located in the 16400 block of Larch Way, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
The incident occurred around 12:45 a.m.
Deputies searched the area and later found the pickup believed to have been involved in the break-in.
No arrests have been made.
“We don’t have any suspect information to release at this time,” Hover said.
EDMONDS
Oct. 25: Domestic. 23900 block W Woodway Lane. Two people were involved in a verbal argument.
Oct. 24: Trespass. 8000 block 218th St. SW. A suspect was found hiding underneath the victim’s daughter’s bed by the victim. The suspect was arrested after fleeing.
Oct. 23: Agency assist. 21600 block 76th Ave. W. Swedish/Edmonds Hospital staff reported a stabbing victim in the ER and determined the incident occurred in Snohomish County.
Oct. 23: Burglary. 200 block Railroad Ave. An accountant for the Edmonds Senior Center reported a burglary to the accounting office.
Oct. 22: Assault 4. 21700 block 92nd Ave. W. A female assaulted her mother by throwing a book at her.
LYNNWOOD/BRIER
Oct. 23: Theft. 4700 block 196th St. SW. A man attempted to steal a wallet but was confronted by an employee who was able to recover the wallet. The employee was then assaulted by the supsect attempting to steal the wallet.
Oct. 22: Domestic. 16400 block Hillpointe Circle. Verbal disagreement between a man and woman over the woman hiding items belonging to the man.
Oct. 19: HUMANE. 23400 block Brier Road. A Brier man reported his neighbor has lost their residence due to foreclosure and had to move, but they left their dogs there. The dog owner was located and advised of possible Animal Abandonment charges.
Oct. 18: THEFT. 3600 block 216th Drive. A Brier man reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle and removed cash, computer and sunglasses.
Oct. 18: RECKLESS BURNING. 3600 block 232nd St SW. School official reported someone tried to start a fire in the walkway of the school.
Oct. 18: Domestic. 6600 block 182nd St. SW. Verbal disagreement between a man and woman over curfew.
Oct. 18: Domestic. 3500 block 184th St. SW. Verbal disagreement between a man and woman over a manicure the woman had gotten.
Oct. 17: Accident. 19500 block Highway 99. A woman reported backing into a parked car.
MILL CREEK
Oct. 25: Theft from vehicle. 14600 block 35th Dr. Officers were dispatched to a report of items stolen from a vehicle.
Oct. 23: Property crime. 1200 block Mill Creek Blvd. Officers responded to a property crime at a residence.
Oct. 23: Theft. 17900 block Bothell Everett Hwy. Police responded to a report of a theft.
MOUNTLAKE TERRACE
Oct. 23: Agency assist. 6000 block St. Albion Way. A male was taken into custody for felony DV harassment after he allegedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend. He denied making the threats.
Oct. 23: Accidental overdose. 4500 block 221st Pl. SW. An 18-year-old female overdosed on heroin. When she came to, she said she took injected heroin because she felt sick from withdrawals. She was transported to Swedish/Edmonds.
Oct. 21: Malicious mischief. 4500 block 238th Pl. SW. A man said his daughter’s car had been broken into and vandalized several times within the last few months.
FIRE DISTRICT 1
Oct. 20: Collision. 196th Street SW and Puget Drive. A pickup truck hit a pole, knocked down power lines and came to rest against a building in Edmonds. Firefighters transported the driver to Swedish/Edmonds.
Oct. 19: Collision. 164th Street SW and 6th Avenue W. Firefighters took one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a collision west of Mill Creek.
Oct. 18: Truck fire. 11500 block of Heberlein Road. Firefighters responded to a garbage truck on fire in Woodway.
Oct. 17: Dumpster fire. 2000 block of 201st Place SW. Firefighters extinguished a Dumpster fire at a school east of Lynnwood.
LYNNWOOD FIRE
Oct. 21: Bicycle accident. 5000 block 196th St. SW. Medics were called by a school nurse for evaluation of a 10-year-old boy that was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle to school. He was riding on the sidewalk on 196th Street in front of Wight’s Home and Garden when a car pulling off 196th Street into the parking lot struck the patient and knocked him to the ground.
