Suicide prevention subject of forum

Parents can get a lesson on preventing suicide on Jan. 11 at Jackson High School.

Youth Suicide Prevention Program of Washington State will conduct a seminar for parents concerned about their children’s well being.

Stress and depression in adolescents are real, and parents need to know how to help children cope.

Parents can learn the typical symptoms of stress and depression and when it is appropriate to seek professional help.

The seminar begins at 7 p.m. in the school’s library, but will be preceded by a free dinner at 6:30 p.m.
