Student receives scholarship
Angela Ma of Edmonds is currently enrolled as a freshman at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill. She has been awarded a Forester Scholarship for Art and a Trustee Scholarship, which was given based on academic achievement and student participation in on-campus programs.
Now accepting Reflections entries
Reflections, a cultural arts competition sponsored by state and national PTA organizations, provides an opportunity for students to share their original works of art in literature, musical composition, photography and visual arts. This year’s theme is “A Different Kind of Hero,” and submissions are judged on creative ability and interpretation of theme. Contact your local PTA or school for more information and deadlines.
Snowsports registration begins

EdCC invites students to visit
This November, Edmonds Community College will host open houses for interested potential students about online degrees, studying abroad and winter classes.
At 6 p.m. on Nov. 4 in Snohomish Hall 304A, representatives from EdCC and Washington State University will be available to explain how to begin a degree at EdCC and continue on to earn a bachelor’s from WSU in human development, business administration or social sciences, all online.
A session held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 17 in Snoqualmie Hall 213 will provide information on study abroad opportunities for this spring in Florence, Italy and this summer in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
To find out how to pay for college, begin a bachelor’s degree or start a career at EdCC and register for winter quarter classes, attend an open house from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Nov. 18 in Triton Union Building 202.
